Welcome to the AEHL U15AAA Division!

Cooper Brown, Cash Carter & Rowan McDonald named Source for Sports Players of the Month for October

The Alberta Elite Hockey League is pleased to announce Cooper Brown (Airdrie CFR BisonsU18 AAA), Cash Carter (St. Albert FlyersU16 AAA), and Rowan McDonald (PAC SaintsU15 AAA) as the inaugural Source for Sports Players of the Month.

U18 AAA – Cooper Brown (Airdrie CFR Bisons)

The 2021-22 AEHL season could not have gotten off to a better start for second-year Airdrie CFR Bisons forward Cooper Brown, whose 10 goal, seven assist October kicked off with a hattrick in his team’s first game of the season on October 2. His 17 points were tops in the U18 AAA division, and he earned at least one point in all but two of Airdrie’s 10 games in October, helping lead the Bisons to a 6-1-2 start.

“Cooper Brown is an exceptional young man,” said a member of the Bisons organization. “His point production speaks for itself but that part of his game is such a minor factor of what he brings to his team. He sees the game far beyond his years and has leadership capability, which I have yet to see at this level. He’s a great role model for younger athletes in the association and treats everyone with respect.”

U16 AAA – Cash Carter (St. Albert Flyers)

St. Albert Tetz Powell CPAs Flyers found themselves atop the U16 AAA North Division at the end of October with a 6-1 record, thanks in large part to forward Cash Carter’s league-leading 22 points in the team’s first seven games. His 13 assists were the most in the league in October, and he finished the month tied for second in goals with 9.

“Cash’s on ice performance speaks for itself,” said Head Coach Carson Fleming. “However, off the ice he is even more of a leader. He was voted by our team to be our captain and is always motivating the team positively. Cash is humble, hard working and well-spoken.”

U15 AAA – Rowan McDonald (PAC Saints)

The PAC Saints earned 15 of a possible 22 points in October to lead the U15 AAA North Division, led by forward Rowan McDonald, who paced the league with 24 points in 11 games. MacDonald, in his second year with the Saints, earned at least a point in all but one game in October, with his lone point-less game being book-ended by two four-point performances.
