Airdrie Xtreme are Provincial Champions.
The U15 AAA tournament presented by ATB, kicked off in Okotoks on Thursday, March 23. Throughout the weekend the Airdrie Xtreme, Calgary Bisons (CBHA), Knights of Columbus (KC) Squires, Okotoks Oilers and St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres played a round robin tournament.
It took Airdrie three goals in the first period to overcome the Bisons 3-2, for the banner. Okotoks finished third overall with a 7-3 win over KC.
The U18 AAA Calgary NW Flames lead the St. Albert Nektar Raiders two games in the best of five series. Calgary opened the series with a 4-3 win in St. Albert and came home to beat the Raiders 5-3. The Flames have a chance to seal the series, Wednesday March 29, in St. Albert.
The U17 AAA division will determine a champion April 6-9 in St. Albert.
